  1. I thought it was overkill when one of our commissioners suggested having coaches email scores to the commissioner for each division to verify, but I guess that's what we'll have to do unless they prove to me this is fixed. Sigh.
  2. After a game was played, the home team coach entered the score on the app, per league policy. It showed up in Season Management schedule as 6 to 7. As webmaster I go through and hit "publish" on the season microsite just about daily or whenever I see new scores. Seeing this one, I hit publish and moved on. Later in the day I went back and looked at the microsite itself. The game was showing up as 0 to 0. The Season Management schedule page still showed it 6 to 7. Then I checked standings, both on the microsite and in the Division view of season management. The game was being counted as a tie. Has this happened to anyone else? The lack of data correctness in the system is a total killer! I worked around it by scoring the game from inside Season Management to 6 to 7 and it corrected the standings and microsite (with another manual push of publish, of course). It's fall ball for us, with no end of season tournament. So standings aren't a huge deal now. But in spring they will be. This has got to just work. I can't go through correcting the standings every day on top of having to push "publish" every day. I'm a volunteer, as are most SE HQ users I imagine.
  3. Is anyone using the new GraphQL API yet? I am still pretty new to OAuth2 and hoping there's a way to use the PKCE Flow on my actual HQ Site Builder page to then make queries via JavaScript. Unfortunately the documentation merely links to Auth0's page on how to do it, which expects you to have access to a bunch of stuff about the API that the SportsEngine documentation doesn't recommend. Does anyone have pointers to better documentation or a good tutorial?
  4. Can those of us directly affected by the issue please get a ticket to track progress on this? I have no visibility into it other than repeatedly being told "we are working on it," but our season is happening right now. This is affecting myself, our scheduler, our coaches, and our families right now. The one ticket I had was closed, only for either the identical or a very similar issue to rear it's head immediately after the ticket closed - not a confidence booster at all.
  5. I talked to someone on the phone. It was one of the help desk guys. He assured me this is a top priority for HQ. I admit that it's...hard to believe at a minimum. He did not have tickets for me to track or meaningful updates. Short of them actually fixing things, more transparency would be useful.
  6. Since our page setup is nearly identical to what you described (except I got the calendar feed links a slightly different way since we have 40 of them) and it's proven absolutely clutch already, I wish they'd just give me a different way to show the results and standings. If I had that, I would remove the microsite entirely. Ours is almost garbage looking with ghost games that I can't delete from our Season due to https://community.sportsengine.com/topic/922-anyone-else-finding-scheduling-buggy/. I have access to the API and perhaps I can use that to make a standings/scores page.
  7. I don't understand the bolded - did they explain further? Unless they literally coded themselves into a box, it's just writing more web code to make adding events show up on the microsite. If they can't do that, then they need to start over. They've done something wrong and made a system that isn't what users need.
  8. I'm not sure if you can edit the Confirmation page. The help desk can probably answer that. One way you can provide help is via the confirmation email, which you can edit. Go into a registration and look at the list on the right side. Where it says "Edit Registration" with the pencil, click that. In the modal dialog that opens, scroll all the way to the bottom. There is a link that says "Show Advanced Options." Click it. A whole bunch of critical registration options show up. Scroll way down to the second to last text box, labeled "Custom message to be sent in confirmation email." Put in there what you want to say to registrants after they successfully register. That is the email they will receive when registration is done. Click "Save Registration." Now your registrants will get your custom email instead of boilerplate from HQ on registration.
  9. We are in our first season after switching from League Athletics. This is close to the way we did it. However our wait list is date based, not numbers based. So we had a hidden “Waitlisted” question. It defaulted to “no” during regular registration. During that time our regular levels of play with sale items question was visible and required. On the day we wrote waitlist we defaulted the waitlisted question to “yes”. We made our question with sale items optional and hid it. We showed a question for levels of play (marked waitlist on reports) that had no cost and made it required. As commissioners said they had room for players we invoiced them. Honestly it took a LOT of emails to get everyone to pay. But we had the same problem with the balance report in League Athletics. We typically take our entire waitlist, so we end up invoicing all of those people. The one thing this makes hard is automated reporting logic. If you want “all players registered for 10U,” you have to make a saved report for either the regular OR the waitlist question equaling “10U” and you can’t automatically filter out inactive registrations in that saved report. But we dealt with it. I’d still love true wait list capabilities though.
  10. They told us we could after I asked pre-season and was told no. We have 40 teams and 700 events in the system and we’re told we’d need to re-do it all if we switched. As you can imagine we declined. We are coming from League Athletics which was incredibly feature rich and very stable for a low price, though definitely not very modern. I have no idea if Sports Management would meet our needs either. Most of our neighboring leagues seem to be experiencing transition issues with either League Athletics to HQ or Sports Management to Season Management. Public webpage features have gone missing from all of them.
  11. So glad you are reporting things too! I saw the "Final" to "In Progress" bug with my own eyes and briefly thought I was crazy. It didn't help that the help desk didn't seem to believe me when I tried to explain what had happened, since I had already fixed it so our standings could be correct. Re: disappearing games and conflicts - it's the disappeared games that are the conflicts. I described it here: In short, what happens is that the games that disappeared aren't totally gone. They are gone from: Season Management schedule, iCal feed, TeamCenter, and the app. They are present in: conflict checking, schedule export, and the microsite. Our microsite is such a mess right now with disappeared games that we can't edit or delete. Some games show up 3 times, occasionally on the wrong day or at the wrong time. I've asked the dev team to delete them via the help desk only to be met with "we are working on this bug." And unfortunately they never give me a ticket for any of the most major bugs, though I've been assured on the phone they are working on them.
  12. ...and I also saw the same issue when I checked out a TeamCenter for an impacted team, which means it also shows up in the app like @Laura Nmentioned above.
  13. Re-upping. Refreshed many of our calendar feeds due to a schedule change affecting a bunch of our teams - we have all iCal feeds imported onto our calendar and tagged to the appropriate team so everyone can see events as well as games out the public site. Saw the issue with the JSON location instead of plain text location for several teams games and its not going away. I assume it will in the next automatic refresh?
  14. The bolded has been released on every active HQ site I've seen.
  15. Are you looking at an individual team? Each team part of the microsite now looks like this for us (short I know, but I don't want to show the team name):
  16. Some people will be super excited to know the microsites now show team rosters. I'm happy for those of you who are. We aren't. Our rosters have never been public. Our teams are private, which works for this scenario when it comes to the TeamCenter and app. Unfortunately the microsite doesn't respect this. Can anyone see a way to opt out of the roster being displayed? Or limit it to rostered users only? That's what League Athletics offered.
  17. Click into any part of your actual Season - Overview, Settings, whatever tab. It will show up on the top right as a white button with a blue outline, blue text, and a blue megaphone. When you click on it, it asks, "How would you rate your experience with Season Management?" and shows 5 stars. Pick your star rating, and then a text box pops up - with no character limit that I can tell - where you can provide feedback. I have made a habit of sending in one piece of feedback about a single feature request or bug at a time rather than putting them all in at once.
  18. FWIW you should be able to just publish the scored game. So the workflow our league is using is: 1) Scheduler schedules everything so we can make sure it's right (we have always done this - League Athletics let us prevent coaches from ever entering games which was great) 2) Coaches score games in the app. I wish they could also do so in TeamCenter, as some of them dislike the app, which is their prerogative. 3) Those scored games, because they were initially created under Season Management, DO show up as final and scored. 4) Myself, as the web admin, hits "Publish" at least once a day to sync changes to the microsite <-- this part is especially not ideal and could be automated Like you, we have seen scores disappear at least once, but most of them have stuck around. I find that if you color even just a tiny bit outside the lines of what the system expects it will behave very badly. Even if you do what it wants, it will still sometimes be buggy, but a little less so.
  19. For those of you who have either bug reports or feature requests - League Athletic-like ones or Sports Management-like ones - are you using the Feedback button to pass them on? I've gotten at least one direct response from the Season Management team that way. I've also been told that that button is the best way to communicate directly with the team. I know this forum is lightly monitored by HQ employees and also that it is invaluable for workarounds for some lacking features, but for other things we really need them to write code. Are people asking for the features we need this way?
  20. I have seen this behavior with iCal events on our site and in my calendar, but only sporadically. It looks as if they pull JSON (a sort of computer code) straight out of their database sometimes and display it instead of displaying just address as an address. I would file it as a bug and also ask their developers to stop taking “move fast and break stuff” as a literal motto. So many things about Season Management feel rushed and unfinished - like this. It makes us, the leagues using it, look bad.
  21. I was just told by a rep they would move us to Sports Management…after we’ve put in 40 teams and over 700 games/events for our season, but we’d have to redo ALL that. No. We can’t redo our entire season mid-stream. We asked to drop back multiple times before the season started and we’re repeatedly told no.
  22. Oh glad to know we aren’t the only ones experiencing scores going missing! Have you filed the bug with the help desk? Gotten a ticket to track progress?
  23. I discovered the hard way that multiple automatic discount codes don't show up. You need multiple discount codes to work around it. So if you have early bird and a discount for 2 siblings, you'll have the regular early bird. Then you'll have "Early Bird + Sibling" that includes both discounts and the requirements for both to combine. You'll also have "Sibling" that is for people who aren't early birds but have a sibling with the requirements that match date and sale items for that. Then you'll need that whole thing again if someone has 3 kids they register. Is your returning player also an automatic discount, or are you giving out codes for that? I believe codes and automatic discounts will stack, but I haven't tried that yet - only either codes OR automatic discounts - so I'm not 100% on it.
  24. If the livechat isn't responding I recommend reaching out to your account manager as well as trying a different customer support person or emailing sports@sportsengine.com. Those are ways I've gotten an answer when whomever picked up my chat dropped it on the floor. You have to be pretty persistent.
