Audible alerts not working

I’m having an issue not receiving any. Sounds when a new chat message is received. I get that a message was received on my lock screen of my cell phone, but a sound does not play. I’ve checked all my notifications and everything is turned on correctly and I have toggle them off and on and of course restarted my phone and nothing. Any suggestions? I am using the latest update of iOS.

My phone recently did the update and I am having the same issue- it’s driving me nuts. I did reach out to support and just got another email back, but they’re stating the sound settings are on my phone’s end. Nothing I can find can remedy it and I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, you name it!

Same issue. I think I’ve narrowed it down to a setting under notifications. There is no option to allow other types of alerts like Banners or Sounds that the other apps have. Definitely a developer issue.

Same issue here. Definitely a developer issue as the options for Sounds and Banners are simply not there on iOS, only Badges.

Please fix as soon as possible as it really helps to have the sound/vibration notification for chats in order to respond quickly as a coach.

Hey there! That sounds frustrating. Oddly, you're not getting any sounds despite having notifications turned on. Have you tried adjusting the sound settings within the messaging app itself? Sometimes, apps have their notification settings separate from the device's settings. If that doesn't work, it might be worth reaching out to Apple Support or checking online forums for similar issues specific to the latest iOS update. Hopefully, you'll find a solution soon!

This is 100% without a doubt a bug in the iOS app. There is no option to turn on "Sounds" for SportsEngine app notifications in iOS. It is only an option to turn on "Badges". See above screenshot from bgullifor. It is an option on iPadOS, but not iOS. Without the "Sounds" option the notifications show on screen, but have no sound or vibration.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and have the second update that came out this week.

Everyone I've asked about this within my club that has an iPhone is experiencing the same issue ever since last fall's major redesign of the app.
