Great question - typically within a registration, an organization will create additional options within their specific offerings that are "waitlist" options that have no fee attached to them. People can select those and then if spots free up, you can have them go back through and pay.

To best help you out, would you be willing to explain a bit more about your organization and specific use case?

We are an adult rec soccer league.  We charge everyone $25 for the year for a supplemental insurance package, but we split the year into 3 different seasons (spring, summer, and fall).  Each season has several different leagues.  The $25 membership fee is charged only once for the entire year whenever the individual signs up for their first league (which could be summer or fall).

We tested out the waitlist function yesterday but found that once a league is full SportsEengine is still applying the $25 membership fee upon checkout even when the only league selected was a waitlist. We were wondering if there was a way to get around this as we don't want to force someone to pay a fee if there is no guarantee they will make it onto a team.  We don't have any fee attached to the waitlist.  It the membership fee that we can't seem to avoid.
