A charge category groups the same type of payments together.

Using charge categories effectively will allow you to report on the different areas of the revenue brought in by your business.

Common categories are

• Recreational Tuition
• Competitive Tuition
• Competition Fees
• Uniform Fees

Each time you add a charge to an account, make sure you pick the corresponding category for comprehensive reporting at the end of the year.
