Deleting Members from SportsEngine HQ

FTTB

Question

I have multiple instances of the same member within HQ. Only one of those instances has the correct contact information. I need to delete the others so that the wrong one isn't selected when sending out things like invoices. How can this be done? There isn't anything I can click on to do this. Capture.jpg

I mentioned this to SE support recently too. Hopefully they add the ability to delete members from People360 soon.

What you can do (or should be able to do...as I've had trouble with this), is click on the name of the people you want to delete...and then on the next page go down to the Permissions link...then from within the permissions page you can remove a user from the site. What I was running into was that that button did not work, and the member was staying in my directory. Not sure if that was just my site or a wider issue.

But overall, I agree...being able to remove members from a site from People360 would be easier. Ever since the footer of SE emails went from "click here to unsubscribe" to "click here to login and manage your preferences", I get more and more people just replying and asking me to unsubscribe. I need an easier way to do that.

Agree, this would be good functionality, but additionally it would be nice to be able to do a mass delete, i.e. create a smart group of accounts that haven't logged in, no contact info, haven't logged in in x years and then be able to delete or at least archive all of those users with one click.

I couldn't agree more. One way or the other, they need to give more management capability to a site's webmaster. Managing member accounts is a basic function and this includes the ability to edit information in an account if necessary. I'm actually surprised that there aren't more site admins griping about this.
