  1. We use a single registration form to collect player information as well as parent\guardian contact information. I'm trying to streamline the process for helping users self-serve managing their registration so I created a self service page. The user can: 1. Create a registration if they are new to the program 2. Lookup their existing registration if they need to verify their data 3. Edit their registration if data needs to be updated The create registration is a straightforward link to the registration form. For the lookup of an existing registration: Is there any way to get better, more consistent phone number formatting? The phone fields don't seem to offer a template mask and the phone verification doesn't check format so we end up with all sorts of combinations of numbers, commas, blanks, hyphens and parentheses which makes a lookup by phone number difficult For Editing an existing registration: I believe I can use the link https://app.sportngin.com/user/registrations to point the user to the list of the registrations they have, but then they need to select the specific registration form they want to edit. Is there a way to give them a link to a specific registration form they can edit so that I can take the guess work out for them? Here's the page I'm working on: https://www.kangfootball.com/signup Any suggestions would be appreciated!
  2. We're managing a High School Football Program. We keep a single registration for all of our players (think player contact list). We include data such as graduation year and a photo. We use this registration to roster them each season onto the appropriate team. By filtering on graduation year, it is easy for us to move them up through the system Once a team has been rostered for the new season, we export the player list, update it with some of the custom data from our registration such as the Graduation year and then re-import it leveraging the custom variables. Now we can show the players graduation year in our roster. Yay! Is there any way for us to also import their Photo from this same registration? I know I can go in an manually assign a photo but if I understand the system correctly, I would need to do that for each player each season. If there were a way to include the photo in the current export\import process that would be really helpful. It is quite cumbersome to have to export, match and import (ETL) the data just to get graduation years to show up. Has anyone considered a design change request to automatically pull previously defined variable data into a roster from the registration when you roster the person? Thanks!
  3. We don't want guardians to have the ability to interact with the team. We believe it builds accountability and responsibility in the kids if only the players and coaches can participate in the chat and to RSVP. We have team representatives that communicate with parents to take the burden off the coaches and free the coaches to spend their time with the athletes. Ideally guardians should be able to have their own community for communications with their team representative so they can understand schedules, logistics, volunteer opportunities, etc.. but it should be separate from what the players and coaches use. Unfortunately, that feature doesn't exist just yet.
  4. We run a high school program and we've made the choice to have the student athletes have their own primary accounts. This way they are held accountable and responsible for RSVPing to events and all the chats and messaging are among coaches and the players. Parents are invited to create a Sports Engine account and to be a Fan of their child's team and can see the schedule but don't participate in chats, messages and email storms. The downside is we need to do behind the scenes processing to connect parents to the players so we can send the parents team appropriate communications. This would be a great feature to have.
