SportsEngine User Group Portland was held on July 27 in neighboring Beaverton, Oregon.
Former SportsEngine Webmaster of the Week Tiffany Hendriksen was the featured speaker as a group of about 40 youth sports webmasters, coaches, directors and registrars attended the SportsEngine Portland User Group event on July 27 in Beaverton, Oregon.
Hendriksen, the registrar and webmaster for Tigard Lacrosse, spoke about why she believes its important to have Frequently Asked Questions and Meet Your Coaches pages. She also showed how she set up a registration session specifically for donations and sponsorships.
The event, held at Decarli Restaurant, included a presentation from Gary Goldberg, CEO of SportsEngine integration partner Squad Locker. Goldberg talked briefly about how the ease of setting up apparel stores on SportsEngine sites.
Also in attendance were representatives from Agape Volleyball Club, Aloha United Soccer, Columbia Empire Volleyball Association, Lacrosse Northwest, Madlax Oregon, Mountainside Lacrosse, Mountainside Football, NW Elite Volleyball Club, Oregon Blaze Fastpitch, District 4 Little League, Red Heat Fastpitch, Showtime Baseball, Westview High School Basketball, Westview Youth Development, Westview Girls Youth Basketball, Rose City Futsal, Shape NW, Sunset Girls Basketball and Winterhawks Skating Center.
SportsEngine User Group Portland was hosted by SportsEngine community manager Loren Nelson, who talked about the Help Center, Ideas Portal, Community Forum, Media Center and other resources available to help use and maximize SportsEngine’s software.
Product marketing manager Rob Bedeaux gave updates on new products such as PowerPay and premier level responsive Sitebuilder templates. He also talked about the new SportsEngine.com site and how organizations can get their information listed in the directory featured there.
