Duo talks about how USA Hockey and Colorado Avalanche partner with SportsEngine to meet goals
USA Hockey's Cameron Eickmeyer
Eickmeyer, USA Hockey’s Director of Internet Content, spoke about how his organization uses SportsEngine technology for membership development and to grow the number of players nationwide.
He talked about how, in 2008 before switching to the SportsEngine platform, USA Hockey’s content management system was managed by a single user and was not mobile responsive. Now all USA Hockey sites are mobile responsive and managed by multiple users with access to specific sites, sections or pages.
Eickmeyer showed how mirrors are used to embed resources into multiple sites within USA Hockey’s hierarchy. He also mentioned the various ways USA Hockey receives support.
Schofield, the Avalanche’s Manager of Amateur Hockey, worked with SportsEngine to provide sites for more than 70 amateur hockey organizations. He manages CoHockey.org, a SportsEngine-powered hub for all things hockey in Colorado.
Colorado Avalanche's Jason Schofield
Schofield showed how he uses the Colorado Hockey site to promote hockey at all levels through articles, photos, video and statistics.
The event also included representatives from Arvada Hockey Association, Colorado Junior Crew, Douglas County High School Athletics, Five Star Timing, Hyland Hill Hockey Association, Jump Start Volleyball, Littleton High School Athletics, Rock Canyon High School Athletics, Rocky Mountain Hockey League, Showtime Sports Basketball and Warrior Lacrosse, among other organizations.
SNUG Denver was hosted by SportsEngine community manager Loren Nelson and included presentations from regional manager Ryan Hanson, account manager Adam Nelson and product marketing manager Rob Bedeaux.
Hanson gave a brief overview of SportsEngine, and Adam Nelson talked about the multiple levels of support provided to clients. Bedeaux spoke about SportsEngine joining the NBC Sports group, new products such as TeamCenter and PowerPay, integration partners and other new products and features. Loren Nelson gave a brief overview of the SportsEngine Community and the resources it provides.
SportsEngine was created to help people simplify their sports life. Now, we're making it easier than ever for parents and athletes to find the right sport and the right organization for them.
