Katie Fiaschetti and Allie Keller

PlayHard GiveBack

Non-Profit Coordinator/Athlete Content Manager (Fiaschetti) and Website Architect/Designer (Keller)

Fiaschetti grew up in the Sun Valley, Idaho, area and went to high school with PlayHard GiveBack co-founder Spencer Brendel. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Sociology in 2011 and has been part of the PlayHard GiveBack staff for more than a year. Keller, the marketing manager for St. Paul-based MacQueen Equipment Group, offered to provide her website architecture and design expertise after a chance meeting with PlayHard GiveBack co-founder Jeff Brendel last year in the Twin Cities.

What they do:

Fiaschetti serves as the main point of contact for the athletes and non-profit organizations associated with PlayHard GiveBack. She gathers bio and background information, then posts it along with photos, videos and social media links on the PlayHard GiveBack site. She is currently working with 50 professional athletes, 25 non-profits and four youth sports organizations – numbers that are growing every day. Keller helped set up the structure of the site, trying to make it as easy as possible for viewers to understand PlayHard GiveBack’s mission and to contribute to sponsored athletes and their causes by purchasing healthy snacks. Most of the graphics and other visuals on the site were created or chosen by Keller.

Making their mark:

Fiaschetti’s athlete pages, such as this one for freeskier Tristan Brown, display quick-hitting bio information and are loaded with numerous multimedia elements. Keller’s Get Started page literally walks viewers through a simple, three-step process for supporting athletes and their causes.

Pass the Flame

Encourage a young athlete with an inspiring message. Thank a coach, parent, or teammate who's made a difference in your life. Pass the flame for them to share and keep alive. Because one little spark is all it takes to ignite something great.
