Hockey Tourney Update

06/02/2017, 8:15am CDT
By Jim Dahline

Tourney, our platform-powered tournament management system, has made the life of tournament directors a little bit easier since its release three years ago. While we've constantly added improvements, we have not had a release as big as the one we're making available now.

Release Details

  1. Shootout Support
  2. Player & Team Pages
  3. Mobile Friendly Bracket on Microsite
  4. Additional Improvements

Shootout Support

Tournaments have multiple formats for how games are decided. They can go to a tie, multiple overtimes, or in some cases shootouts. Now, you can record the full results of a shootout.

Team & Player Pages

To make it easy to share schedules and results for individual teams, Tourney now automatically creates team pages for all teams in your tournament. Parents can also view and share stats for their athletes with player pages that are automatically created as well.

Mobile Friendly Brackets

If you are using Tourney's built in microsite, you've probably noticed that brackets require quite a bit of scrolling to view. We've tightened up the view so they are much easier to see on your mobile device.

Rename Pools

We're really excited that you can now rename pools! Many tournaments have long standing pool names, or use the names of sponsors for their pools. Now, tournaments can name their pools anything they want to.

Other Improvements

In addition to some "under the hood" improvements, we've also included these new features to really make Tourney the go-to system for hockey tournaments.

  • Jersey number on roster pages
  • Advertising support
  • Video feeds on game pages
  • OT or Shootout designations in mobile
