Since bringing team messaging to the Sport Ngin platform last Summer, we've been talking to coaches and managers to learn what features would really make it the best team messaging available. We're excited about two new features we've just released which are sure to delight coaches, managers, and families everywhere.
With team messaging, you can now:
The easiest way to set up team messaging is by using Registration and the rostering process in Sport Ngin. However, there are times where you need to add your roster or individual athletes manually.
Now, when you add an athlete, you'll immediately be able to message them, even before they claim their profile.
You can now immediately message athletes and families after adding them to your roster.
When you manually add athletes, you are required to include an email address which sends them a confirmation email. This primary email address is also what is used to send team messages. But what about other parents, the nanny, the athlete, or grandma?
Now, (for non-members) coaches and managers can add additional contact email addresses so team communications are sent to anyone who needs to be in the know.
For athletes who haven't had their profile claimed, you can add additional contacts in Team Center.
Coaches and managers can add additional contacts to the athlete's profile via mobile as well in the Sport Ngin mobile app.

Want to have others receive team messages for your athletes? You can always set up a linked account. However, for those who do not have a Sport Ngin account, you can add in their email address so they can also receive email messages from the team.
