Former Sport Ngin Webmasters of the Week Mark Clark and David Van Volkenburg were among the more than 30 Chicago-area youth sports webmasters, coaches, registrars, treasurers and board members who attended the Sport Ngin User Group event on Wednesday, Sept. 9 in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Clark, who lives in Cary, manages the Jr. Wolves Football & Cheerleading and Cary Grove Youth Lacrosse sites and was the subject of one of Sport Ngin’s first Community profiles.

The event, held at Westwood Tavern & Tap, also included representatives from Lake View High School Athletics, DuPage Stars Hockey Club, Firebirds Soccer Club, Warrant Township Girls softball, Park Ridge Soccer, Schaumburg Athletic Association, CHFS Hockey Club and the Rolling Meadows Renegades, among other organizations.

The event was hosted by Sport Ngin Community Manager Loren Nelson, who showed the work of the seven Illinois webmasters who have been named Webmaster of the Week, talked about the Highlight ’15 event scheduled for  Oct. 3 at Sport Ngin headquarters in Minneapolis and gave a brief overview of the Sport Ngin Community website.

Sport Ngin executive sales representative Libby Hewitt and account manager Mickey Kirk gave demonstrations of the new team messaging and management tools as well as the new mobile responsive design themes. Kirk gave overviews of Registration, Verify and Tournament. Hewitt and Kirk also answered questions and gave one-on-one instruction.

Clark gave a presentation showcasing some of his work on the Jr. Wolves site using mirrored page elements, registration reports and custom code elements. He will be one of the panelists during the featured Webmaster session at Highlight ’15.
