Erin Margerum's hours of work paying off for high school program
Carlsbad High School Touchdown Club President/Webmaster
Margerum, who works in sales, previously served on the Carlsbad High School Touchdown Club’s board of directors before ascending to president this year. She also took on most of the website updating and maintaining duties, including moving Carlsbad Lancer Football onto the Sport Ngin platform in April. Margerum’s son, Kaleb “Ace” Roach, saw extensive action at quarterback on the junior varsity at the end of last season.
Margerum estimates she spent 40 to 50 hours setting up the new Carlsbad Lancer Football site. That effort included moving content from the old site and adding several new sections and pages. Much of her initial focus has been creating content to promote the program’s alumni game and annual golf tournament, the organization’s main fundraiser of the year. Both events are scheduled for early June. Margerum has registration forms set up for numerous events and other fundraising options, including the Heels in the Huddle Ladies Luncheon and season seats and sideline passes.
Margerum has started setting up custom profile pages for several Carlsbad players, who then have the ability to enter and update their information.
