Las Vegas Baseball Academy's Ryan Lunceford is master of multimedia.
Director of Communications
A Cottage Grove, Minn., native and graduate of Buena Vista (Iowa) University, Lunceford served as worship pastor at Crossroads Church in Woodbury, Minn., for six years before leaving to start Advance Church in Las Vegas in 2011. He volunteered to help run the Summerlin South Little League website before his sons, Evan, 8, and Landon, 9, joined the Las Vegas Baseball Academy last June. He’s been in charge of the LVBA site since February.
In a word, everything. Lunceford doesn’t just post news and keep the site’s master calendar updated with practice schedules, games and other events. No, the site serves as living, breathing testament to Lunceford’s plethora of multimedia skills. That professional-grade video on the Who We Are Page? That’s the handiwork of Lunceford (using Final Cut Pro). That custom Diamond Challenge graphic on the home page? Yup, that’s Lunceford again (using Adobe Illustrator). Lunceford’s attention to detail filters all the way down to the team pages, where uniform color combinations are assigned for each day (example: Monday is red jersey, gray pants w/red stripe, red socks, belt & sleeves day).
Lunceford noticed the academy was receiving several inquiries on how to access practice, game and event schedules. So he created an easy-to-follow video tutorial that explains how to filter LVBA information for specific teams, then synch that information to calendars on home computers, iPhones, iPads and other devices.
